Well, I'm more than half way through high school! Freshman year was quite a transition (even through I went from one gifted and talented magnet school to another, nothing prepares you for high shool!), sophomore year was better, but junior year is kicking my butt. I'm trying to juggle lots of AP and honors classes, a young horse, and a job (two, if you count feeding at the barn on weekends). But I have my driver's license now!!!!
Oh yeah -- horses. My dear Lady has been sold and is in a wonderful home in Virginia. She is teaching a young rider just like she taught me. After doing catch rides at my old barn, where I rode a lot of horses, I left there and leased a jumper. That was fun while it lasted, but she took waaay more time and effort than we (and our trainer) had. We returned her to the family we leased her from, and started the search for a new horse.
It took a while (and another barn/trainer change) to find one, but I have my new project. Reggae is a lot of fun to be around (when he's not being a Dumbblood!), and I think he'll turn out to be what I want -- an equitation horse who can do a lot of everything. Our goal is to qualify for the Washington International Horse Show in a couple of years. One of the downsides to having a young horse is that I have not been able to qualifiy for any of the NCHJA Medal finals this year (I borrowed horses the past two years). Look for us next year though!

I still have many other interests -- I love traveling with my parents, but I don't see any new states on the horizon as yet (we'll be travelling in North Carolina for horse shows -- although I'm pointing towards qualifying for the Washington Internation Horse Show in D.C. in a couple of yeears!). My mother has also turned me on to roller coasters and I'm riding all the neat ones I can find! Let me know if you have any suggestions!
