In a two month span in 2002, we went from a two cat family to a no cat family with the passing of our Big Cat and Eternal Kitten. We had begun looking for another cat after the passing of Valentino in August, and our search intensified after Summer's passing in October.

When we received a call from our vet who breeds Maine Coons (the same breed as Valentino) saying that she had a kitten available, we were quite excited. When we met Mogul, who was 5 months old at the time, it was truly love at first sight. We also had the opportunity to meet his parents and an 18 month-old sister (Hula Girl), and they were all fabulous. To make a long story short, we brought Mogul home on October 24^th. We are in the process of introducing him to the house and the rest of the family -- he and Peanut have become friends but Belle is an entirely different matter due to her size and overly friendliness. I'm sure that they will come to an agreement, however.
