Nyla came as part of a package deal with her sister Carmen through C.A.R.E for Animals. We fostered Carmen with three kittens (along with our usual menagerie), but the kittens were adopted quickly. The founder/president of the rescue organization convinced us to foster Nyla after they left. (Yes, we know were were being set up!) After a couple of weeks, we allowed as how a pair of three year old cats would be harder to adopt than kittens, so we officially adopted them on March 19^th, 2004.

Nyla is the pushier of the two sisters, and probably pushier than Mogul (although she lets him rule the roost). She is the mouthiest of the bunch -- she will talk if touched, talked to, looked at, or even thinking about being looked at. She always has something to say. While she will talk to anyone (and bug anyone for food), she is most certainly Warren's
